Cracked panels, warped boards, peeling paint — these are signs your siding is failing before your eyes. Forge Siding delivers professional Siding across North Babylon, NY with upfront pricing and crews who show up on schedule.
Forge Siding grew out of a simple frustration: too many North Babylon homeowners were paying good money for Siding work that failed inside five years. Wrong profiles, wrong fastener gauges, no housewrap — then the callbacks never came. We do it right the first time, using manufacturer-recommended installation methods and materials rated for NY's specific climate demands.
Our crews are licensed, carry full general liability and workers' comp, and every lead installer has completed manufacturer certification training. We work with fiber cement, engineered wood, vinyl, and steel systems — and we'll tell you straight which one makes the most sense for your home's structure, your local weather patterns, and your budget. No upselling, no pressure.
Siding doesn't fail overnight — it gives you warning signs first. Catch them early and a repair handles it. Miss them, and you're looking at rot, mold, and structural repairs on top of the siding bill.
Hairline cracks look cosmetic but they're water channels. Once moisture gets behind the panel and hits the housewrap — or finds no housewrap at all — sheathing rot starts within one season.
Buckling almost always means the substrate underneath has moved — often because moisture got behind the panel weeks or months ago. The panel is showing you the symptom, not the cause.
Interior peeling close to an outside wall isn't a paint problem — it's a moisture infiltration problem. Your siding is the likely culprit and ignoring it turns a siding job into a drywall and mold job.
A missing panel after a wind event or impact isn't just cosmetic damage. That exposed sheathing is collecting rain until you replace it. This is one repair that can't wait for a convenient schedule.
Old or failing siding, particularly if the housewrap underneath has deteriorated, acts like a thermal short-circuit. Your HVAC runs harder to compensate, and the bills reflect it before the siding looks obviously bad.
Extreme fading means UV degradation — the protective surface layer is gone. Chalking on older paint-based systems signals the same. At that stage, the panel is no longer blocking UV penetration to the substrate underneath.
From a single damaged panel to a complete re-side on a large commercial property, we handle the full range of exterior cladding work — and we do it with the same crew standards regardless of job size.
Fiber cement is the workhorse material we recommend most in NY's climate — it handles humidity, impact, and UV better than most alternatives and carries manufacturer warranties that actually hold up. We're certified installers for HardiePlank, HardieShingle, and competing fiber cement systems. Installation follows manufacturer specs to the millimeter: correct lap, correct fastener type and spacing, correct clearance from grade and roof surface, and full housewrap integration on every project.
Vinyl offers the widest color and profile selection of any cladding material, and with the right thickness and a quality insulated backer option, it performs well across most of North Babylon, NY. We carry Dutch lap, beaded, board-and-batten, and shake profiles and can match existing siding profiles on partial replacements when the rest of the home is in good condition.
Engineered wood is popular in North Babylon neighborhoods where the traditional wood look matters architecturally but the maintenance demands of real cedar or pine aren't practical. We install with stainless or hot-dipped galvanized fasteners to prevent iron staining at the nail head — a detail that separates a professional installation from a quick flip job.
Our repair crews use the same material standards as our full-installation teams — no caulking over gaps as a permanent fix, no missing sealant at transitions, no shortcuts on housewrap at the repair perimeter. If there's rot in the sheathing behind the damaged panel, we address it during the repair rather than covering it up.
Commercial and multi-unit projects have different demands — larger panel formats, longer exposure to foot traffic and equipment contact, stricter fire ratings in some occupancy classes, and coordinated scheduling with other trades. Forge Siding handles commercial cladding projects in North Babylon, NY with full project management: dedicated site supervisor, daily progress reporting, and material delivery coordinated to minimize storage and laydown area on constrained sites.
Siding that terminates at rotted or missing fascia boards isn't protected — it's channeling water straight into the rafter tails. We routinely pair siding replacement with trim, soffit, and fascia work so the entire exterior envelope is addressed in one mobilization rather than two. PVC trim board, prefinished aluminum coil, and fiber cement fascia are all in our wheelhouse.
Four steps. Each one documented. No surprises at the invoice.
A thorough inspection before we quote means the estimate we hand you is accurate. We check the substrate, the existing housewrap or vapor barrier, window and door flashing, corner and soffit condition — all of it — so there are no hidden surprises once demo starts.
The estimate covers every line item — material, labor, disposal, permit fees if required in your jurisdiction. You pick the product, the profile, and the color with our input on what's going to perform best for your specific wall orientation, climate exposure, and substrate condition.
We schedule your project start date at contract signing and stick to it. Materials are delivered directly to the site before crew arrival — no day-of scrambling. We protect landscaping, windows, and any surfaces adjacent to the work area before the first panel comes off.
At project completion, we walk the entire exterior with you. Every run of siding, every corner, every trim termination — you look at it before we close out. If anything isn't right, it gets fixed on the spot. Our goal is that you refer us to your neighbor the week after the project wraps.
Every crew that works on your home carries a current contractor's license for NY, full general liability, and workers' compensation. We'll email you the certificates before we arrive — not after you ask three times.
Upfront pricing means you know what you're paying before a single panel comes off the wall. Change orders require your written approval. We've built our reputation in North Babylon, NY on the fact that our estimates are reliable.
When we book your project, we commit to a start date. No bumping you for a bigger job, no weeks of silence after signing. We operate with enough crew capacity to honor the schedule we gave you.
Old siding demo generates a lot of debris — old panels, nails, housewrap, fasteners. We haul it out daily. Your driveway, lawn, and landscaping are clean at the end of every work day — not just at project completion.
Our workmanship warranty covers what we did and how we did it. The product carries the manufacturer's own warranty on top of ours. That means your home is protected twice — by the material the manufacturer stands behind, and by the installation Forge Siding guarantees.

We had three other quotes before calling Forge Siding. The difference was the inspection — they actually walked the whole house with a moisture meter and found soft sheathing behind two panels on the north wall that nobody else mentioned. The estimate covered the sheathing repair too, so no surprise charges when demo day came. Final result is clean and tight. We'd hire them again without hesitation.
A storm took out a whole section of vinyl on the east side of our house. I called four contractors — three of them said they'd have to replace the entire elevation because they couldn't match the profile. Forge Siding's estimator sourced a matching panel through their supplier network and did a clean repair. You can't tell where the new material starts. Saved us probably $4,000 compared to a full-side re-do.
The fascia and soffit on our older home were rotting away and we assumed it would be a nightmare project. Forge Siding quoted it alongside the siding replacement so everything was done in one mobilization. The crew found two spots where the rafter tails had started to soften — they showed me photos before touching anything and walked me through the repair options. The whole exterior looks like a different house now.
The estimate process was refreshingly honest. The estimator told me upfront that my old OSB sheathing had delaminated in two areas and would need replacement before new siding could go on — with photos and a written line item. No one had mentioned that in the other quotes. Forge Siding fixed the sheathing, installed the HardiePanel system, and the project cost exactly what they quoted including the repair.
I'm a home inspector by trade, so I know what cutting corners on a siding installation actually looks like behind the panels. Forge Siding's work is correct — right fastener pattern, proper clearances from grade and roofline, continuous housewrap with taped seams at all penetrations. This is how it's supposed to be done and most of the crews I see in North Babylon, NY don't do it this way.
I needed a quick turnaround on a rental property before a new tenant moved in. Forge Siding fit us in on short notice, did a clean vinyl replacement on two elevations, and the inspection cleared without a single callback item. Responsive, professional, priced fairly. That's all I ask for and they delivered all three.
